Winning Tactics For Effective Subject Lines

Email marketing is the foundation of every good internet marketing business.

Your subject line can make or break your email marketing efforts.

One of the biggest challenges of email marketing is coming up with a subject line that can get the reader to open the email.

If you fail to create an email subject line that catches the reader’s attention, most likely your email will be deleted quickly.

In this blog post I am going to reveal winning tactics to writing effective subject lines.

This information can dramatically increase you email open rate which will result in increased sales.

These same tips can also help you to craft headlines for your blog post, video titles and social media post.

Anytime you can capture someone’s attention to get them to read or listen to your content, that will help to build your brand and your business.

1. When you are creating your subject line keep in mind the whole purpose is to get them to open the email. Don’t try to sell your product or recruit a new affiliate in the subject line.

2. Review the stats from you past emails to see which subject lines had the best open rate. The results may surprise you.

3. Share social proof, a statistic, or a testimonial.
Example: 600,000 shares on Facebook.

4. Review your email inbox and observe the type of subject lines that make you want to open them. Make a swipe file of the good ones. Use that as a guide only. Don’t copy them word for word.

5. Make it more personal instead of sounding like a marketing ad. If you are inviting someone to a hangout or webinar, try: Can you attend Wednesday at 8:00?

6. Don’t offer too much information in the subject line. The reader may either accept or reject that limited content and usually sees no need to open the email.

7. Keep the subject lines short. Remember many people are checking their emails on their phones.

How to Motivate Your Team

What gave me the idea for this post is actually a conversation I had a few days ago with a prospect in Facebook.

This conversation was to follow up with her after she had watched my sales video. I sent her a message and asked her what she liked best about it. She gave me a very different response. She said that it was very well explained.

Then I asked her a closing question. Her response was that she needs to get motivated.

5 Ways To Immediately Get More Friends And Followers

These are all methods that I have used which resulted in more Facebook friends and followers.

Most of these tips are going to get people to send friend request to you. Facebook does not like it if you send friend request to people that don’t know you. Sending too many of those will land you in “Facebook jail” and you will be blocked from sending more request.

With that said I sometimes send a couple each day, no more than three.

Tip 1:

Check to see who Facebook has recommended as someone you might know. Click the icon at the top of Facebook where you normally get notifications of new friend request.

When that window drops down it will show you any friend request that you have pending. It will also have a list of people that it suggest you might know.

Pick out 2 or 3 that have a lot of mutual friends with you.

Look at their profile to make sure it is someone that you would like to work with, then send them a friend request and this message:
“Facebook suggested you as someone I might know. I can see why because we have many mutual friends. I just sent you a friend request. Have a Blessed day. :)”

Tip 2:

If you are active on other social media sites, you can get some of them to friend you on Facebook.

In the past I was very active on Twitter. I was getting a lot of new followers. When a new person followed me I sent them a direct message as follows:

Hi [Firstname], Thanks for the follow. Nice to you. Let’s connect on Facebook too. 🙂 www.Facebookcom/kim.a.sousa

(I have also used this method to get people over to my Fan Pages instead of just my personal profile.)

Tip 3:

Join some groups in Facebook in which your target audience hangs out. I am a member of hundreds of make money online type of groups.

Go to a couple groups and look at the profile of some people actively posting in the group. If they are someone you would like to work with, see if they have a follow button. Follow them instead of sending a friend request.

They will get a notification from Facebook that you followed them. This could result in them sending you a friend request. They may even start a conversation with you.

Tip 4:

People hangout in Facebook to catch up with friends and family and to socialize. When people see a post that touches their heart or make them laugh, they share it.

When you make a post that gets a lot of shares you just got “free advertising”.

For example: If you have a cat and you made a video of them doing something very funny, you can post that and people could share it.

When people share your post all of their friends could see it. Their friends could share it too. Then all of their friends could see it.

When a post gets lots of share we say it has “gone viral”. With all of these people that did not know you seeing your post some of them will go to your profile and friend request or follow you.

My husband, Kevin had used this method to get many thousand of followers which also maxed out his number of friends.

Tip 5:

If you are active in some groups, you can attract some people to send you a friend request. I am not talking about the make money online groups. Most of those people just put in their advertisement and leave.

I am talking about groups on specific topics. These people are highly engaged because they are passionate or at least interested in the topic of the group. I am a member of groups about autism, recipes, low carb recipes and more.

I did not join these groups for business or to get more friends. I really am interested in those topics just like everyone else there. But as a by product of being active in those groups some people were attracted to my profile and have sent me friend request.

So for example if you are passionate about extreme coupons and are in a group on that topic, you can make a post on your PROFILE about your latest successful shopping trips with pictures of your haul and info about your savings.

Then the the link to that post from you wall and share it in a couple of the coupon groups that would be interested in that post.

Some people that also share that interest could go to your profile and decide to send you a friend request.

When you get a friend request, accept it then start a conversation or send them a friendly message. Do not “throw up” on them about your business or send them links.

Do this:
“Hi [Firstname], Thanks for the friend request. I just accepted. Have a Blessed day. :)”

Or this:
“Hey [Firstname] Thanks for the friend request. Much appreciated! I’d love to know more about you. What is it that you do?”

In my previous post I showed you how to set up your profile for success and what to post so that you attract people to you in Facebook.

Today I am going to show you how to actively prospect and get people looking at your business today.

When you reach out to them the first thing they will do is look at your profile and wall. So make sure you have read and implemented my tips from this post: Attract Endless Leads With Facebook before you start prospecting.

The first prospecting scripts and tips I am going to give you are for people on your friends list that already know you. You either know them offline or have chatted with them before online.

If your product has broad appeal, you can approach them right away. We are always sharing information with our friends and family when we see a good movie or get a bargain at the store. This is no different.

You can send them a text, call them or send a private Facebook message. A message on Facebook could even be a voice message to make it more personal.

Sample script:

Hi __________,

I hope you are having an awesome day. 🙂

Quick question..

I found a way to _________________. Now I’m sharing this with others.

Do you have a few minutes to watch a short video?

Sample script for someone that has like your Facebook post:

Thanks for liking my post. 🙂

Quick question..

I found a way to _____________. I am now sharing this with others.

Would you like to take a look at it?

You Can Sponsor 2-3 People Each Week. But don’t ever just post a link to someone unless that have asked for it or agreed to it.

When you get a “yes”, find out when they are going to watch the video so you can follow up.

The Follow up:

Ask them: “What did you like best?”

Or: “On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being I’m ready to rock this and 1 being I really don’t see the vision, where do you see yourself?”

Next:
If they are ready to get started, then tell them what to do next to get started. “You’re next step is..”

If they really don’t see the vision and are not interested, then say “that’s cool, keep it in mind.”

If they are somewhere in between 2 and 9, then say,
“You must have questions. Let’s talk on the phone.” Then give them your number, ask for theirs and set a time to talk.

It would also be helpful to have an upline leader on the phone when you call them. You can say, “I’m new at this, but I have Kevin on the line and he can answer all your questions.”

There will be many people on your Facebook friends list that really don’t know, like or trust you yet. The can be a new Facebook friend or one that you have never chatted with before.

You should get to know them a little better first before you approach them about your business. Leave comments on their post and engage with them.

You can use this script to start a conversation:

“Your post just came up in my news feed. We have not chatted in awhile. How are you doing?”

When you get to know them better, you may discover that they have a problem and your product is the solution. That would be a good time to bring up the subject of your business or one of your income streams.

I have a Facebook group for internet marketers. I start conversations and make friends with many of them.

Sometimes they are brand new to their business and really don’t know how to market online.

If you run into that situation, you could recommend a free training or blog post to help them.

It is important to continually build your friends, followers and post engagement in Facebook to generate an abundance of leads for your business.

Attract Endless Leads With Facebook

Network marketing businesses are built with relationships. Because of that I have found it easier to grow a team with free marketing instead of paid.

While offline marketing to your warm market works, there is a limit to how many people you can contact personally. I am also not a fan of driving to home parties.

A much more effective way is to use social media such as Facebook. There is an endless amount of prospects there. It works and is very effective if done the right way. When Facebook marketing is done wrong, it repels people instead.

Kevin and I have used many different methods of marketing and free marketing with Facebook has produced the most results for us.

There are two different ways to do this. One is active prospecting and the other is to use attraction marketing. Both are very effective. A combination of both of these methods can make you highly successful in any business.

Following the steps below is the first part of attraction marketing on Facebook. Eventually you will have people contacting you asking to join your business and work with you.

Setup:

The first thing you need to do is set up your profile correctly. The header image should be a lifestyle photo.

Do not put pictures of your products or the name of your company in your header.

Your profile picture should be a head and shoulders picture of you, not your kids, dog or anything else.

Example:

Go into your settings and set it so that no one except you can post on your wall. If someone tags you in a post, it should not appear on your wall unless you manually approve it.

Set everything to public. You cannot hide and keep everything private if you want to build a business with social media. When people are deciding if they want to connect with you, they will look at your profile, your wall, photos and number of friends.

Posting:

First I want to cover what not to post on your wall. Do not post anything negative. That will not attract people to you. If you are having a challenge paying the rent, DO NOT post about it in Facebook.

I am not saying to lie or pretend to have success that you are not having yet. Wait until you have had success and then share about your struggles and how you were able to overcome them. That will inspire people with your story. If you share your struggles before you have overcome them, you will repel people from joining you in business.

Think about it. If you see someone posting that they are broke and can’t pay their bills, is that the person that you would be attracted to for business? Would you sign up with them and look to them as a mentor?

But many people have overcome their struggles and now have had tremendous success. For example, Mike Kim from South Korea. He used to be homeless and now is highly successful. Ray Higdon was broke and filed for bankruptcy, but now is highly successful and has made millions.

Don’t use the name of your company in any of your post. You want to create curiosity and not look like an advertisement. Do this instead:

So what else do you post?

Post things that are positive, inspiring and uplifting. Some post can actually go viral and expand your audience.

You should also post family things like trips to the Zoo with your kids. These help people relate to you as a real person. It helps them get to know, like and trust you.

Post team recognition, success stories, transformation, before & afters. But do not include the product name or the company name.

This is a great way to create curiosity and having people reaching out to you.

Make some lifestyle post. Take pictures while on vacation, at the park, and at company events. The picture below was taken a couple weeks ago while were at an event in Vegas.

Here is a homework assignment for you:

Pretend that you are a stranger and don’t know yourself. Now go look at your profile and scroll down your wall. Then ask yourself this question. Would you join you? That is how strangers are going to react to you too.

All the above might sound very basic. But I see people every day that are not following these tips. Now that you have the foundation to start attracting prospects. you will want to grow your following and start also actively prospecting the right way.

Kevin Says Jump

Many people in life go to work every day, come home, have dinner, spend a little time with their family, do a little entertainment, watch TV and then do it all over again the next day and the next day.

They do that, living a decent average life, but they have problems.

They have debt. They can’t get some of the things they’d like to get in life, or do all the things for and with their family that they would love to do.

Some people just don’t care about that. They choose to live an average existence and could care less how their life is going and just accept living week-to-week.

They don’t pay all their bills on time and think that is their ‘lot’ in life.

But there are other people who like to ‘soar!’

They believe in their dreams. They believe that they can accomplish things. They step out of their comfort zones to start their dreams.

Whether it’s a few dollars to invest in a business of their own, and if they don’t have the money, they find it and do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Steve Harvey said, “Those people stand on the edge of a cliff and they jump!”

If you “stand at the edge of a cliff” and look around, you’ll see all the parachuters just floating nicely and having a ball!” That is kind of an analogy of success.

Many people refuse to jump, either because they don’t believe they can succeed in life, or they don’t believe in their dreams.

Naysayers and the negative influences of other people have stopped them from going after their dreams.

They look at their bank accounts and say, “Nope! I don’t have any money to invest in my dream,” and they just give up on it, rather than find the few dollars that it takes to get started on a dream.

They choose to live an average existence.

Whereas, the people who stand at that edge of a cliff, who decide to jump, guess what? The parachute is not going to open up right away and they’re going to get bumps, bruises and scrapes on their skin from the rocks, but they jumped!

And that’s how I wanted to live!

I did not want to be an ‘Average Joe.’ I did not want to come home from work, have dinner, do a little entertainment, watch TV and go back and do it all over again for the rest of my life!

I wanted MORE from life!

And a lot of you do, too! You just need courage. It takes courage to jump when you’re standing on that cliff.

And you’ll be amazed because even though the parachute doesn’t open right away, eventually (and you need to understand this), eventually it DOES open and you can soar with the rest! Those who have the guts, the determination and the courage to go after their dreams; to move Heaven and Earth to get started and to NEVER quit, CAN succeed!

Can you imagine if somebody’s soaring in the sky and they decide to quit, so they just rip off their parachute?

How stupid is that, right? Sadly, it does happen, sometimes.

But if you’re willing to learn, willing to work, willing to start believing in your dream and stop believing anyone else who told you that you can’t do this, or you can’t do that, then stand on the edge of the cliff, look around and JUMP!

You will be amazed at what you can accomplish in life!

And with the Help of Almighty God behind you, He WANTS you to jump!

He WANTS you to succeed in life and so do I.

I believe in you even if I don’t know you because you’re a fellow human being. And we all have dreams and goals, don’t we?

We all have things we would love to achieve in life.

So, get on the edge of the cliff and jump! Look both ways, but JUMP and take that action!

Get Anything You Want in 90 Days

Fan mail’s coming in, comments are being left. Everybody’s blowin’ up my cell phone to find out what it takes to get anything you want in 90 days!

Well, I’m going to share it with you.

Here’s what you do…and this is a fact.

It’s going to work no matter what, if you do exactly what I tell you.

This is how you get anything you want..

Anything?

Anything in 90 days!

FIRST, you have to figure out what it is THAT you want.

Now, that sounds easy, but it’s not.

You have to be specific.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is figuring out what it is you want!

The SECOND Step is figuring out what it takes to get that particular goal, or item.

Not ‘kinda.’ SPECIFICALLY what it takes to get it.

THIRD, you want to look down and bust your butt for 90 days straight, working that plan.

Then, Step FOUR, at the end of 90 days, look up!

And if it’s not there, repeat Step 3, which is look down and bust your butt for 90 days.

And within 90 days, or one of those 90-day cycles, you’re going to get what it is you want!

It’s impossible NOT to!

This plan works every time for ANYBODY!

Educated, uneducated, it doesn’t matter.

Trailer park..

..to the white house!

It doesn’t matter. It works for everybody.

How do you get ANYTHING you want in 90 days?

It’s simple.

1.) FIRST, you figure out that it is.

2.) Then, you make a plan to get it.

3.) Then, you work your plan for 90 days

4.) Then, you look up..

and if you don’t have it, look back down..

..and repeat Step 3, which is give it 90 more days!

Bust your butt, have some ethics, be honest..

Never Give Up!

Repeat Step 3 as OFTEN as it takes until you get exactly what you want in 90 days!

It may be the third “90 days”..

..but eventually, you’re going to get anything you want in 90 days!

And when you DO, you can thank me..

..because I’m the one that told you!

Make a Brand New Ending

If you were facing death, close to your last breath and reflect upon your life’s biggest regret. Would it be things you did, or things you did not do? Would it be the risks you never took, or the dreams that you didn’t pursue?

Would your last words be, “If only I had…?”

Well, wake up! Why do you exist? Life is not meant to simply work, wait for the weekend and pay rent or the mortgage.

Every person on earth has a gift. Do you have a dream, or does your dream have YOU?

People don’t choose dreams. Dreams choose them! Do you have the courage to grab the dream that picked you; that befits you and grips you? or would you let it get away and slip through?

Like an airplane that just stays on the ground and never flies, human beings ‘rust,’ ‘malfunction,’ and ‘wear’ much faster than we ever would if we were ‘in the air,’ or in the process of pursuing our dream.

You were built to live out the dream you have inside. It is the saddest loss to choose to live our lives on the ground without ever taking off.

You know, there is a thief in our minds who is after our dreams. His name is ‘doubt’ and he has killed more dreams than failure ever did. He wears many disguises and, like a virus, will leave you blinded, divided and turn you into a ‘kinda.’

‘Kinda’ is lethal! You kinda want a career change. You kinda want to get in shape.

If you ‘kinda’ want something, then you will ‘kinda’ get the results you want.

What is your dream? What ignites that spark? You can’t ‘kinda’ want that! You’ve got to want it with every part of your whole heart.

Will you struggle? Yes, there is no way around it. You will fall many times, but who’s counting?

Make a Brand New Ending

Remember, there is no such thing as a ‘smooth mountain.’ If you want to make it to the top, then there are sharp ridges that must be stepped over. There will be times you get stressed and things you get depressed over, but you must keep going!

Struggle and criticisms are prerequisites for greatness. That is the law of this universe and no one escapes it.

Pain is life. You can choose what type. Either the pain on the road to success, or the pain of being haunted with regret.

Don’t think twice. We have been given a gift that we call life. So, don’t blow it!

You are not defined by your past. Instead, you are born anew in each moment, so own it, now.

Sometimes you’ve got to leap and grow your wings on the way down. You better get the shot off before the clock runs out because there’s no ‘overtime’ in life; no ‘do over!’

If you don’t use your gift, then you sell not only yourself, but the whole world short.

So what invention do you have buried in your mind? What idea? What cure? What skill do you have inside to bring out to this uni-verse?

UNI – meaning one. Verse – meaning song. You have a part to play in this song. So, grab that microphone and be brave. Sing your heart out on life’s stage.

You cannot go back and make a brand new beginning. But you can start now and make a brand new ending.
